Born in 1944 in a district of Osaka. Became a Yakuza (Japanese Mafia) in his older brother's unit in his late teens. He controlled 90% of illegal drugs sale in Japan for many years. After his brother was killed by another Yakuza unit, Yoshiyuki became the boss. As the revenge for his brother, Yoshiyuki, together with his 2 closest henchmen, resolved to kill the biggest Yakuza boss in the country, Taoka of Yamaguchi Unit. That triggered the biggest Yakuza war in history.

In 1990, much helped by his Korean wife and her prayers, Yoshiyuki accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, and came out of Yakuza world. God led him to start a house group which grew fast to around 80 converts, and thus Bethany Church was planted. Later, he passed the baton of the pastor to his son, Shigeki.

Through Bethany Church, a Bible Training School, The Antioch Mission Theological Seminary, was started and Yoshiyuki became the president. In 2020, a new school, World Mission School, was started with Yoshiyuki as the president. Through those two schools, Yoshiyuki has been instrumental to train more than 500 Christians for various ministries in God's Kingdom.
